Your website is live. I’m still in your corner.
Launching your website is a big moment, but it isn’t the point where I disappear into the mist.
For the first six months after launch, I stay familiar with your website and help with the small agreed adjustments that naturally crop up once it’s out in the world.
A sentence might need tightening. A button may make more sense somewhere else. You might want a second pair of eyes on something you’re unsure about.
That’s exactly what aftercare is for.
No extra subscription. No surprise add-on. Just six months of agreed support included as standard.
Helpful support for the little things that crop up after launch.
Once your website is live, you start seeing it differently. Small questions, tweaks and niggles are completely normal — and you shouldn’t have to wonder whether it’s safe to change something or whether the person who built the site has vanished.
Aftercare can help with:
Small agreed content updates
Minor layout adjustments
Questions about routine website changes
Checking something that doesn’t seem to be behaving properly
Small refinements once real people start using the site
Guidance around analytics, Search Console or Microsoft Clarity
A second pair of eyes when you’re not quite sure what the sensible next step is
A quick note on scope
Aftercare is there for the smaller things that help your website settle in properly. It isn’t intended to become six months of unlimited redesign or maintenance.
Substantial new pages, major layout changes, new functionality or larger strategic work sit outside the included support. If something falls outside the agreed aftercare, I’ll always tell you before anything happens.
No surprise invoices. No mystery add-ons.
How it works
Something crops up.
Send me a message and tell me what you have noticed.
I take a look.
I’ll check what’s needed and let you know how long I expect it to take.
We sort it.
I’ll make the adjustment and let you know when it’s done. If it turns out to be a bigger piece of work, I’ll explain that before going any further.
Nice and uncomplicated.
And after six months?
Six months is usually enough time for your website to settle in, for you to become more confident using it and for any early niggles to show themselves.
After that, you’re not suddenly cast adrift.
If you need help later, you can still come back to me for focused updates, a Designer for the Day session or whatever level of support makes sense at the time.
The aim isn’t to keep you dependent on me. It’s to make sure you feel confident with your website — and know exactly where to turn when you need help.
