Plenty of experience. Absolutely no interest in making things complicated.
Hello, I’m Debbie: founder, Squarespace specialist, Circle Silver Partner and the person beside you throughout the project.
I have spent more than 30 years helping people make sense of technology. That experience now sits behind calm judgement, thoughtful websites and a process that feels considerably less overwhelming.
That's what this studio is. Small enough to care, experienced enough to get it right, and committed enough to stay involved after the launch.
WHY BRIGHT HORIZON CREATIVE?
A website may be digital. The experience should still feel human.
Bright Horizon Creative grew from something I had seen repeatedly: clever, capable people knowing their website was no longer doing the business justice, but not knowing which part needed attention first.
You know your business. Turning that knowledge into clear pages, choosing the right tools and deciding what happens next can feel like another profession.
That is where I come in. I listen, ask useful questions and give you a straight answer about what the website needs to say and do: without turning the project into another full-time job for you.
THE TECHNICAL BIT
My background spans administration, project management, IT training and support inside a large international organisation.
I am completely at home with domains, forms, analytics, search tools and the settings you would quite reasonably prefer not to spend Saturday untangling.
That technical depth sits alongside design, so the website can look considered and be built on proper foundations.
WORKING WITH BHC
We begin with what has changed and what is not working now.
You work directly with me.
I work out what needs attention before I recommend what to build: then guide you through the decisions.
I build for confidence, not dependency.
Launch is not an abrupt goodbye: I stay involved whilst the website meets the world.
A less formal introduction
BHC is run from my studio in Silsoe, Bedfordshire: usually with a notebook open, rather too many browser tabs and one of the dogs nearby.
Sharing your business with the world can feel surprisingly personal. You are asking people to see the value in something you created. I do not take that lightly.
And if you’d like to talk about your website, your business, or quite possibly dogs and life in general, you’re very welcome to get in touch.
Think we would work well together?
Tell me what you’re planning, we can work out how I can help you achieve your goal together.
