Project Objectives

The aim of this concept was to explore how luxury wellness brands can balance emotional storytelling with practical booking journeys.

• Create a calm luxury aesthetic through typography and spacing
• Structure the homepage around trust and experience
• Demonstrate conversion-led section flow
• Show how restraint can elevate perceived value
• Explore positioning a retreat as an experience rather than a service

Design Approach

The design focuses on quiet confidence rather than visual noise. Large typography, considered spacing, and minimal interface elements allow the brand story to lead the experience.

Sections are structured to follow the natural decision journey of a potential guest:
Discover → Understand → Trust → Plan → Enquire.

Key Design Themes

• Editorial typography hierarchy
• Calm neutral colour palette
• High whitespace ratios
• Experience-led imagery
• Conversion without aggressive sales language

Introducing a dedicated About The Retreat page helped expand the concept from a beautiful homepage into a more fully realised brand experience. The page was designed to create a stronger sense of place, allowing visitors to connect with the retreat’s atmosphere, positioning, and story in a way that feels calm, elevated, and easy to move through.

Adding a dedicated Treatments section helped bring another layer of depth to the Solenne concept, shifting it from a strong visual experience into a more complete retreat brand. The page was designed to present the treatments in a way that feels soft, elevated, and easy to explore, while reinforcing the sense of calm, care, and quiet luxury that sits at the heart of the brand.

The Journal section was added to bring together brand storytelling, helpful content, and SEO value in one considered space. Designed to feel in keeping with the wider Solenne experience, it gives the concept more longevity and purpose — allowing the brand to share knowledge, inspiration, and discoverable articles that support both the visitor experience and long-term visibility.

Adding a dedicated Enquire page helped complete the Solenne concept by creating a clear, intentional next step for visitors ready to connect with the brand. The page was designed to feel calm, welcoming, and in keeping with the wider retreat experience — making it easy for potential guests to reach out while reinforcing the sense of care, ease, and thoughtful luxury throughout the site.

By expanding the site beyond the homepage, the concept became a more fully realised brand experience — one that feels not only beautiful, but intentional, immersive, and ready to connect with its audience.
