ABOUT DEBBIE

There’s a reason this feels different

I’m Debbie — founder of Bright Horizon Creative and a one-person Squarespace studio based in Bedfordshire. I’ve spent over 30 years helping people feel more confident with technology. That’s not a number I use for credibility. It’s context for how deeply I understand the anxieties that come with building something digital when that isn’t your world.

I started BHC because I kept seeing the same thing: talented, experienced business owners being held back by websites that didn’t reflect the quality of their work. The solution was never more features or faster build times. It was someone who would listen first, design second, and stay around long after launch.

That’s what Bright Horizon Creative is. A studio small enough to care, experienced enough to get it right, and committed enough to stay involved after the launch.

What working with BHC actually feels like.

Not what’s promised. What’s delivered - to every client, on every project, every time.

01

I listen before I design

Every project starts with a proper conversation. Not a briefing form — a real talk about your business, your clients, and what you want your website to do. The design follows the understanding, not the other way around.

02

You work with me, not a team

I don’t hand your project to a junior or outsource the build. When you work with Bright Horizon Creative, you work with me — from first call to final launch. That continuity matters.

03

I build for confidence, not dependency

Every website I deliver comes with proper training. My goal isn’t to create a site you need me to maintain forever — it’s to create one you understand and feel confident managing. Concierge is a choice, not a necessity.

04

Launch day is the starting line

I stay involved after we go live. A 30-day aftercare period comes with every project, and ongoing Concierge support is available for clients who want someone in their corner long-term. I’m not here for a handover — I’m here for the long run.

WHO BHC IS FOR

Built for businesses ready to move forward.

BHC isn’t the right fit for everyone, and that’s fine. If you’re looking for the fastest or cheapest option, there are plenty of those out there. If you want something that genuinely works - and someone who’ll still be there six months after launch - you’re in the right place.

  • You care about doing things properly — not just cheaply or quickly
  • You want a website that reflects the real quality of your work
  • You value being guided, not just handed a finished product
  • You’ve been let down before and want to get it right this time
  • You want someone who will be honest, even when that’s uncomfortable
  • You’re ready to invest — and want to make sure it’s worth it

WHAT BHC STANDS FOR

Five things that never change.

Clarity over complexity

Websites should feel easy to understand, easy to manage and easy to grow with.

Support with no end date

The relationship doesn’t stop at launch. Your business keeps evolving- your support should too.

Honesty over agreement

You’ll always get a straight answer, even if it’s not the one you were hoping for.

Technology for people

Not the other way around. Every decision is made with the human being in mind.

Calm over urgency

Good websites take thought. Rushed decisions make poor ones. The process is intentionally unhurried.

“ I know what it feels like to put your business out there and hope the world sees what you see in it. That’s not a small thing. I don’t take it lightly”

There are so many talented, dedicated people out there whose websites simply don’t do them justice. Who feel embarrassed to share their link. Who’ve been burned before and are cautious about trying again.

BHC exists for those people. Not to dazzle them with design, but to sit alongside them - the way I’ve done for 30 years in rooms full of people who just needed someone to make things feel manageable - and help them move forward with more confidence.

If that sounds like what you need, I’d love to hear about your business.
