Squarespace Client Onboarding Checklist
Welcome to your project! Here’s everything we’ll need to kick off smoothly.
1. Platform Account Setup
Create your Squarespace account - Squarespace
Select a subscription plan.
I’ll guide you to pick the right one if you need help!
Billing information
Set up billing under your name/business name.
Keep your login details handy — you’ll need them soon!
2. Invite Bright Horizon Creative to Collaborate
Squarespace Clients
Go to Settings → Permissions & Ownership → Invite Contributor
Add my email: deborah@brighthorizoncreative.com
Select Administrator access.
3. Domain Setup (If Needed)
If you already own a domain: Please provide registrar login details (GoDaddy, Namecheap, etc.).
Or grant me delegate access (preferred!).
If you need a new domain: I’ll guide you on purchasing through Squarespace, Framer, or a third-party like Google Domains.
4. Website Content
Logo Files
(High-res PNG, SVG, or EPS preferred.)
Brand Colours & Fonts
Or we’ll create a Style Guide if you don’t have one yet!
Website Copy (Text)
Pages typically include: Home / About / Services and/or Products / Blog (optional) / Contact
Photos
Professional brand photography if available.
Stock photos (I can help source if needed).
5. Project Tools
Google shared drive. You will receive a private link to track your project milestones, invoices, and files.
Communication Guidelines
Primary communication through: Email
Weekly updates every: Friday.
